The Drowning of Isaac — Isaac Getz, a former Lititz
citizen and an employee of the Marietta hollow-ware works, was drowned on Friday
night in the canal near the works, in about 18 inches of water, where the body
was found Saturday morning. The evidence offered before the jury was to the
effect that he was drunk. Mr. Getz was a tinsmith by occupation, and some
years ago worked for his brother, who carried on business opposite the Kemper
House, Warwick.
